Staff Sergeant Kerry W Firth was born at Lemoore Naval Air Station, California.


Staff Sergeant Kerry W Firth enlisted in the Army in 1987. Prior to his Army enlistment he served in the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy he served on board the USS New Jersey.

He was on board the New Jersey, off the coast of Beirut, Lebanon, when the U.S. Marines barracks was bombed in October, 1983. Staff Sergeant Kerry W Firth was stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, as part of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

On February 21, 2002 Major Feistner and nine others were killed in a helicopter crash in the Philippines. The helicopter crashed after ferrying U. S. Special Forces and supplies from Zamboanga City to Basilan Island.
